This dark cherry coloured wine is made from Saperavi grape variety carefully selected from Napareuli micro-zone in Eastern Georgia. The vineyards of Napareuli are found on the left bank of Alazani River in Kakheti, situated 400-500 meters above sea level, where the soil is more sandy and contains less clay. Napareuli is regarded as one of Georgia’s top appellations of origin – Saperavi grown in Napareuli produces wine unlike other Georgian wines, with leather, smoke and tobacco on the palate. It has extremely distinct fruit aromas, with dominant overtones of blackberries. Good companion to lamb barbecue and hot meat dishes.
